Results of the CEC Store and Merchandise Survey 

Thank you to everyone who participated in the CEC Store and Merchandise Survey! Your input has been invaluable in helping us identify the items you’d like to see at the CEC Convention & Expo. Below are the highlights from the survey results: 

 

Poster Preferences 

Participants showed strong interest in posters, with the following designs receiving the most votes: 

  • Option 4: 175 votes 

  • Option 5: 95 votes 

Most respondents indicated they were "somewhat likely" to purchase a poster at the Convention. 

Option 4:

CEC Poster design option that shows the phrase "choose to include" repeating in a wave pattern in different shades of blue

Option 5:

CEC Poster option that includes the phrase "if you can be anything choose to be inclusive" with a graphic showing people in a circle holding hands

 

Tote Bag Preferences 

Tote bags were another popular item, with the following preferences: 

  • Option 1: 172 votes 

  • Option 2: 112 votes 

The likelihood of purchasing tote bags mirrored the posters, with "somewhat likely" being the most common response. 

Option 1:

Shirt Preferences 

 

Educator Shirts:  Participants were most drawn to the Slate Blue shirt (Option 3), which received 76 votes, followed by the White shirt (Option 5) and Maroon shirt (Option 4).

Light blue shirt with a different light blue text that reads "exceptional educator" across the front

Option 5:

white tshirt with "thank an educator" repeating in red text stacked horizontally down the front of the shirt

Option 4:

a maroon colored tshirt with blue text that reads "exceptional educator" across the front

Inclusion-Themed Shirts:  The Black shirt (Option 2) stood out with 164 votes, making it the clear favorite, followed by the Gray shirt (Option 1) with 100 votes. 

 

Option 2:

Additional Feedback 

Several participants expressed interest in non-clothing items and practical tools, emphasizing the importance of diverse merchandise options. 

“Maybe offer stickers with the same design that the posters are.  Stickers can go on laptops and can be seen by others at meetings.” 

“Co-teacher themed shirts” 

“Thank you for having the t-shirts available at extremely low or free costs for Aspiring Educators who are enacting as student teachers who are in the process of procuring their professional duties.”
